Eternot Award 2025 to Dr. Carolina Mensi, member of the Scientific Committee

On the occasion of the World Day of Asbestos Victims, the Eternot Prize 2025 was awarded to Dr. Carolina Mensi, director of the epidemiological biologist at the Clinica del Lavoro in Milan – Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda and member of the Scientific Committee of Fondazione Buzzi Unicem ETS since 2018.
The prize, awarded by the Municipality of Casale Monferrato, recognizes the contribution to the study and epidemiological surveillance of occupational tumors, in particular malignant pleural mesothelioma, a field in which Dr. Mensi has been actively involved for over twenty years: head of the Regional Operations Center of Lombardy of the National Mesothelioma Registry (ReNaM), she has coordinated numerous national and international projects, collaborating with the WHO and the European Commission.
In addition to scientific activity, its commitment extends to direct support for patients and families through free medical-legal and psychological consultancy services and networking activities with associations and patronages, helping to make the rights of patients effective and improve their quality of life.
