From a crowdfunding initiative, support to scientific research

An article published in La Stampa on November 13, reports the story of Oscar Peano, a former executive of the Municipality of Turin, who died of mesothelioma at the age of 74 and how his son Marco with his partner Francesca wanted to help others through a crowdfunding imitative.
After the death of her father-in-law, Francesca makes an appeal through social media: “I can no longer save Oscar. But I can, indeed we can, thanks to a donation to the Buzzi Unicem Foundation in Casale Monferrato, ensure that in the future - hopefully not too far away - no doctor will ever again have to say "pleural mesothelioma cannot be cured". " And 450 people responded to this appeal and donated the sum of €11,000 to the Buzzi Unicem Foundation.
A significant example of how much people recognize the value of the work carried out by the Foundation for years and the trust they place in continuous research.
