The Fondazione Buzzi Unicem has recently supported new research in the field of malignant pleural mesothelioma.
This research was presented by Prof. Riccarda Granata of the Department of Medical Sciences, University of Turin.
In particular, the research entailed an analysis of the anti-tumor effects of growth-hormone -releasing hormone (GHRH) antagonists, in association with chemotherapy drugs.
This scientific projects is the result of recent discoveries, recently published in important scientific journals (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30659154), made by Prof. Granata in collaboration with two other institution: Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Department of Medicine Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami, Miami, FL; Endocrine, Polypeptide and Cancer Institute, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Miami, FL.
